Kashgar Mountains the Oriental border of Pamir upland is a huge ice border, separating Pamir from the Takla-Makan – the greatest desert of the Central Asia. Pamir upland here is shifting to orient and that big oriental part of the “Rouf of the World” is distinctly emphasized from northeast by the chain of Kongur, and by Muztag-Ata from the east. There are three highest tops of Pamir Kongur-Tag (Kongur-1) with altitude 7719 m, Kongur- Tube-Tag (Kongur – 2) with altitude of 7595 m and Muztag-Ata with altitude of 7546 m located at the ranges of Muztag-Ata and Kongur Mountains.
