Had to make the switch this week from Time Warner Cable to SBC DSL, since I have been online for about 6 years with various online businesses which I still operate I have accumulated many thousands of e-mail addresses so I thought that I would start sending a newsletter to my past customers. Of course I complied with the federal guidelines whereas people can opt out from recieving future e-mails from me though at the rate I send e-mails they probably will not recieve another e-mail for more than a year.
I would consider myself a casual e-mailer but any ways they saw that on a couple of day I sent out some bulk e-mails actually maybe 3 days I sent out 600 or so e-mails far from the millions that some companies send out, I then recieved an e-mail from Time Warner about 3 weeks later stating they showed that I sent bulk mail through my account and that they do not permit this.
I contacted SBC about sending e-mails to my customers and they stated they are business friendly so I can now start sending my e-mail and newsletters again. I guess you figured out that I gave Time Warner the boot as they are not business friendly, what online business can operate without sending e-mails to there customers.
So if your online business has any business what so ever and you want to send e-mails to your customers don't attempt sending bulk e-mail through your Time Warner account, switch to SBC business, it is cheaper and they are business friendly.
