Advertising Dollars at Work

In the past couple months I have be spending a few bucks advertising my new business so I thought I would share with the results thus far.

First off a couple of days ago I installed Google Analytics into 4 of my sites and the results are great, this is a great feature that google offers giving you the ability to see when and where people come from who visit your site, enabling you know to see exactly what they are looking at. The idea is for better conversion to dollars, I wish I had installed it earlier but you know the old saying "Better late than never"!

Also last month I joined Fast Pitch Networking.com and to be quite honest I do not know how I came acrossed it, probably through an e-mail. However I did it has turned out to be a good thing as for the dollars spent I am getting alot of visibility, for anyone in business this is a great investment along with a great way to build your business. As we all know that in life it is not what you know but who you know and connections are an important facet of anyones business.

My first complete month with Fast Pitch I have had over 15,000 people view my profile, this is great and as far as I look at it that is money well spent!

My next step which will hit the street in November is a business card size ad in the local yellow pages with is distributed to over 70 thousand people at a cost of $38. per month, that is only because I am the only sap in the web business advertising in a print directory. We will see, they gave me a great deal to try to build the avenue.

Additionally I purchased 1 year of advertising on OhioBiz.com, it only cost just over $100. for the entire year making it a great investment and it is a PR5 ranked site. So far over the last 30 days I have recieved about 80 click throughs as I set up a seperate page specifically for this ad to see how it does.

Of course from an advertising standpoint advertising in my business advertising section for Free now becomes even a better alternative for your advertising dollars.

Other sources of advertising I do is a billboard in Akron, Ohio putting BuckeyeAds.com in front of 170,000 people a day, I am finding out that I am seeing people from Akron on my site alot. Additionally I have taken out ads in sporting brochures for a couple schools this fall so we will see what that produces.

I will keep up on letting everyone know the results of my outside advertising dollars as I see the results.
