Understanding Building a Business
With over 28 years of business experience not just managing but overseeing the operation of a business through many cycles enables me to provide a unique perspective on getting businesses noticed online, additionally I have been developing my own online business for over 8 years. My websites all rank very well on the major search engines for hundreds of keywords, visitors to my sites has grown exponentially over the years, today I receive over 600,000 hits on an average month with over 20,000 unique visitors.
Over the years I have become very knowledgeable on properly positioning keywords for high rankings online then last year I decided to start using my expertise to assist other in obtaining high rankings in addition to creating great designs for people who also need a website. When putting together informational pages I always find myself designing it like a question and answer session , I guess that comes from all my years in business where when I had questions I had to figure out the best way to achieve the answer so by using questions and answers I might be able to answer some of the questions you might have.
One thing I usually hear is I do not have the money for a website or
you hire someone to put together a cheap site for you and it might look
decent but will never rank for anything on the search engines. If you
fit this bill we can still help you as any website can usually be
optimized but you will need to have realistic expectations.
An important aspect that will go hand in hand with proper optimization
is proper link building, building incoming links from similar site is
very important but how do you do it. There are a couple ways the first
being that you install a link directory using dynamic linking so as not
to send PR away from your site. Do not simply just link to someone
because they want to exchange links make sure you are on a page or site
with similar content so the search engines will actually think they
linked to you because your site has good content.
Do not expect overnight success with your online business as websites
take time to build, this is a process where if you do not have a large
budget then it will take time and a lot of effort on your part to
develop. If you do not have the time then you can always hire someone
to do it for you , that is where I come in. Personally I started my
online business so that when I sell my brick and mortar business I will
already have built something that can support my lifestyle, I have
spent many hours everyday refining my skills in achieving high
rankings. Today GUDesigns.com employs a couple designers a developer
with in-depth knowledge of database development and myself with over 8
years of experience in a phases of business development online and off.
If you have a brick and mortar business today you should have a website
if you want to maintain and build your business in a cost effective
manner, consider the cost of advertising on tv, radio, newspaper in
developing your new website, do not think simply by putting up a few
hundred dollars site that you are in any way building an online
business, more than likely you will have a bad experience and see no
business from this type of site. Believe me the internet can build
your business but it needs to be done right, can you buy a brick and
mortar business for $500. and make a decent income on it, I doubt it!
So why would you think that by spending this on a website you will be
an instant millionaire, it is not going to happen. The Ebay’s or You
tube’s are far and few between,
