New Site Developed - ConnsPotatoChips.com

We have created a new look for Conn's Potato Chip in Zanesville, Ohio, the shopping cart is still being updated by the site is up and running giving the old look a complete overhaul giving Conn's a top notch look to move into the future , this new look offers many interactive features sure to entice new business and keep the old happy.

This was a large project where all images we newly created and content developed additionally a new affiliate program has been added so Conn's can now compete on a national level. Conn's is also expanding into private label chips so companies looking to use Conn's fresh flavor can now put their own packaging on this high quality brand.

Design and Development

The year has started off busy with a couple projects that are finally coming to a finish, one has been completed now and our customer is ready to do some business. We created a beautiful design that is sure to excite new customers, at least we hope they are enthused. This was a small project which was simply modifying a shopping cart that offered many great features with a unique design.

About 3 weeks ago a local business approaced me in regards to their company website that had been up since 2000, this site could only be found via direct name search and the company was lost as to how to get there site ranked.

Coming up on 30 days for development of DebBixler.com

Our latest site has now been up almost 30 that was developed for Deb Bixler, a public speaker located in York, Pennsylvania. Deb faced a not so unusual problem of virtually no visibility for her main speaking site and her 2 blogs.

I met Deb almost 2 months ago now and after talking with her in depth about her dilema, she hired me to develop her a website, this site took approximately 20 business days to develop to her exacting specifications and on completion she asked me how long before she would be on the search engines for terms other than her name.

Of course the big boys have the big bucks to get their names out but are they on top of relevant keywords? Alot of the times not! The little guy steams ahead here is it any wonder why, lack of the funding to pay for high cost advertising but never fear as more and more people start to understand how to search then the obscure sights will surge forward to the front of the pack. Understanding the Internet - Getting Noticed!

I was reading the Akron Beacon Journal a few days ago online and came across an article where someone was writing asking how he could get his website noticed online as he had spent a bundle of money on radio, television, and newspaper advertising to no avail. He stated in the article that he was attempting to start an online advertising business.

The ad stated in prior articles which I have written getting noticed online is not as simple as putting up a website and advertising in regular media to get noticed; actually using regular media if you are not wealthy is a waste of time. Online businesses wishing to get notice need to advertise online, understand also that in online advertising you are competing with the other media in getting your presence noticed. For the inexperienced business man this could be a very expensive venture and to be quite honest even the experienced professionals will fail in most cases.

Understanding the importance of Optimization

The other day I had a businessman come into my office and we were chatting about websites and of course I started in to my normal spill about how high ranked my sites are, honestly I do not no why I waste my time informing local people about site rankings, saturation levels, page rank etc.

If you have a website you need to have a basic understanding of the above if you ever want visitors to your site. Additionally with that basic understanding you need to have a basic knowledge on how to apply the above information to properly optimize your site.

To be quite honest with everyone most web designers, not all as there are some that do cross the lines may design a great site but if that site is not properly optimized the money spent is just that, spent! That money you just spent was just flush down the toilet because your site will probably never be found online.

Of course you can hire someone to optimize your site or even to give you a consult on what needs to be changed to achieve higher ranking within the search engine, understand this though! What ever you spend on site development you should expect to spend the same to get it seen - if you think you can get information on making your site profitable for $50.00 forget it.

Well the information is out there on the net, you just have to find it. Honestly though most of the information out is not the whole truth as no professional is going to give this information for FREE.

To be quite honest it is a complicated and time consuming process and if you do not have the time you probably will never achieve the success that you want online, I personally work 7 days aweek on my sites usually 4 - 6 hours a day to maintain my high rankings. No I do not do work for other people because I simply do not have the time.

GOOGLE Update Complete

Everyone can breath a sigh of relief as another GOOGLE update is complete as I have not seen any movement over the last couple of weeks, hopefully your page rank has been spared this round. Though as long as your placement within the search engines are the same than really your page rank does not have much meaning.

You probably are asking yourself what really is the importance of PageRank? Honestly it is only important on GOOGLE as PageRank is not a variable used by other search engines though I am sure that they use something similar.

Installing an automated link page on your site is the best way to achieve quality results.

Site Optimization - This can be self taught but requires constant work, basically properly placing relevant keywords through out your site to achieve the desired placement within search engines.

Rankings, Site Volume - As a web site owner you need to have an understanding of how to see what type of volume or visitors a site has especially if you are paying for advertising.

GOOGLE indexing with PR changes!

Well it appears that GOOGLE has done another PR update and is completed for this round, we are pleased to say our rank remains the same, since we have increase our size 5 fold over the last 3 months this is a good thing.

There have been many changes on the sites of Golden Web Services and most probably have not even been noticed, though we have added many more content pages providing our visitors with probably more information than they care to read but if you have an interest in learning we have the information.

Always a blast!

Well my friends I am sure you all recieved a GOOGLE PR update to your site and I am glad to say on this round we were spared, though reality speaks a much different to as one should not get to worried about there updates and not live there life around them.

Maintain proper linking strategies, keep your site clean, concentrate on building new quality links to your site and most of all have fun. Ultimately if you are not having fun with you online business you should not be doing it, additionally today don't thinks that by putting up a website that there will be instant money because there won't. Time and a lot of patience is required to succeed online.
